Mishpat.Net Privacy Statement

Mishpat-Net has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for the Mishpat.Net network.

• Whenever your request a page, your IP address, browser and version, operating system and the site you came from are stored in a log file. This information cannot be used to identify a specific individual. This information is used for statistical purposed to help improve this site and provide accurate statistics to advertisers (Note: only the statistic summry is presented to advertisers, not the individual information). We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site.

• The email addresses collected from the sign-up forms to our various newsletters are not sold, or disclosed to any third party. The email addresses collected will only be used to send out the newsletters. You will not receive any mailings you did not request.

• Participants in the Mishpat Award contest are asked to supply their name and email address. This information will only be used to notify winners of the contest, and on the winners list.

• Visitors who recommend sites for inclusion in our directory are asked to supply their name and email address. This information is used only to notify those visitors of the editorial decisions, accepting or rejecting their suggestions.

• Cookies on this site are used by our ad management system, and occasionally by advertisers who use 3rd party ad serving solutions. Cookies are only used to prevent the displaying of the same ad to the individual more then once, for proper directing of clickthroughs and statistical tracking. Cookies cannot be used to identify specific individuals.

• Cookies are also used in the Discuss Law section, for ensuring faster login for registered members. The use of cookies for storing the login information is optional, you can choose not to set a cookie and login manually when you wish to post a message to the forum. This cookie only stores username and password, and not any real world information.

• In addition, cookies are used in our directory database as part of the directory co-branding and search tracking, in order to insure that the proper layout and information is presented to you during your visit to the site. These cookies only track session information, and do not include usernames, passwords or any real world information.

• Finally cookies are used to make sure that the popup page with the subscription to Mishpat Cyberlaw Informer form, is not served to you more than once. This cookie cannot be used to identify specific visitors.

• Occasionally a Poll will appear on Mishpat.Net. By voting you are not disclosing any other information other then the answer to the question the poll asks. A vote cannot be traced to a specific individual, and hencemyour identity remains anonymous.

• The Mishpat Network contains links tomany other sites. Mishpat.Net is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.

• Contact information from the various forms (such as sending comments and requesting advertising information) is used to get in touch with the visitor when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below.

• The registration form on the Israeli Lawyers Online web site requires users to give us contact information (such as their name, email, mailing address and specialization). We use the information from the registration form to add entries to our searchable Israeli lawyers database. The informationion in the Israeli lawyers online databse is available to all the visitors of the Israeli lawyers Online web site.

Public Forums

This site makes chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or news groups available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.
